Monday Memoirs: My $6 Halloween Weekend Costume

This Halloween weekend, I spent $6 on my costume. I dresed up as a black cat. For my kitty cat ensemble, I dug into my closet and pulled out a strapless LBD. I accessorized it with some feline worthy accessories: leopard print heels, a leopard print vintage purse and a vintage black fur coat. I topped off the look with a cat mask which I bought at Claire’s for $6. Then, I painted on a black heart nose and some whiskers with waterproof eyeliner and volia I was transformed into a Miss. Meow. See? Putting together a great costume doesn’t have to cost a lot. All you need is a little bit of imagination. Pinetrest is a great tool for inspiration.
