The Looking Glass: Miami: Through the Lens of Street Fashion

More often than not we are whirling through our tiny universes trying to get to our final destination that we often forget to pause and really see what’s around us. This week’s Miami: Through The Lens of Street Fashion summons us to grasp our reins and hault for a moment to appreciate nature. Zoo Miami is one of those places where we can do this. In this shoot, we see our subject soaking in a very animated monkey exhibit. Smartly dressed with binoculars in tow, she represents how we need to approach the world as a student in awe of its beauty instead of rushing around all the time. Spending time with nature and animals is not only a stress reliever but a gateway that helps you live in the moment and truly feel at one with the world. I hadn’t been to the zoo in years and I honestly couldn’t help, but marvel at all the animals as if I was seeing them for the first time. There are too many favorites, but I have to say the monkeys made Karla and myself laugh so much with all their antics and sounds. It was such a fun shoot.
