The Beautiful and Damned: Little Havana Street Fashion

Miami: Through the Lens of Street Fashion this week takes you to Little Havana. The neighborhoods here have just as much character as the main street Calle Ocho. Just take a look at this eerie and abandoned house that beckoned us with its forlorn beauty. We decided its architecture and lack of color was the ideal juxtaposition for our innocent hula hooping heroine. A ”no trespassing” sign, stood as a warning, yet we couldn’t resist to clamor for a closer view. A squeaky gate sent chills down our spines and made us jumpy. From the porch, a gorgeous green-eyed black cat stared at us curiously and confidently without moving from his position as if to say “what do you two think you’re doing here?” We could see a white stairwell leading up to the second floor, but we dared not go inside. Take a look at picture 9. It seems our hula hoop had a mind of its own or was it something else?
